VG10 Rain Drop Pattern Damascus Chef Knife

Made from folded VG10 this Damascus knife is elegant and unusual. The steel is folded to show a delicate feather on the blade. The knife is polished to a mirror finish not only bringing out the folds but accentuating the hammered area. It’s integrated bolsters provide a smooth, sturdy flow to the handle area.

This knife is designed for cutting fruits and vegetables with a Push/Pull Cut due to its flat cutting edge unlike a Chef Knife whose convex blade is designed to be used with a rocking motion. It is not a cleaver as it doesn’t have the weight nor the blade angle to cut through bones. This knife is sharpened from both sides (a double bevel) unlike the Usuba that is sharpened from only one side. The Usuba is also designed for cutting Veggies.
